Cradle cap

Cradle cap is an infantile form of scalp dermatitis common in newborns. It is a temporary, harmless condition that is typified by yellow, scaling patches and flaky dry skin. It can be treated by applying and leaving oil on the baby’s scalp overnight, before brushing and washing out with baby shampoo. Medicinal shampoo, herbal remedies, homeopathy and, in extreme cases, cortisone cream are all treatments for this non-contagious condition.
