Hernia

A hernia is characterized by an organ or structure pushing through an opening in the muscle and into the surrounding tissue. A hernia ordinarily occurs in the groin or umbilical regions of the body. There exist various types of hernias and hernia patients are represented in all age groups. Symptoms of hernia are characterized by swelling, pain, and nausea and/or vomiting. A hernia requires surgery in order to recover fully. As well as surgery, food therapy may be included in the treatment.
