Two thousand years ago the Essenes were living in the Qumran Caves in Israel.
They were inspired teachers and writers and the authors of the “Dead Sea Scrolls”. Jesus was one of them. Above all they were famous healers. They possessed a deep understanding of how the state of our body relates to our life issues and abilities, making theirs a truly holistic approach to health and healing. At the College, you will have a chance to hear and listen to them. You’ll find it’s a unique experience.
This is a course about life and its spiritual nature. We invite you to join us on a journey into the wisdom of the Essenes.
There is no homework. Life is your homework.
For the Essenes learning means: raising awareness. Practice means: to apply this awareness
The college gives you tools to raise your awareness. Life itself provides you with opportunities to practice it.
The initial course takes two years, but there is the possibility to continue with more advanced courses in mysticism and healing techniques.
Teaching happens in concentrated periods during the year. See under Auckland, Sydney and London for details.
Two-year diploma course
The course is designed over 2 years. Upon completion there is the possibility to take part in the Course of Mysticism. The course is about the beginnings of human consciousness, the Essene philosophy of life and healing, the anatomy of the mind, belief systems, and much more…
Yasha J. Lavie is a healer and medium. He was born in Jerusalem to a Hungarian father and an Israeli mother. He worked in many places in the world (Jerusalem, London, Tokyo, Paris, Sydney), and now lives in Auckland (New Zealand), where in 1991 he founded "Directions", a healing centre in the central suburb of Mt Eden.
He had practiced various forms of alternative medicine for most of his life when in 1997 - much to his surprise and following a series of unexpected events - he started channelling the healing ways of the Essenes. He realized that all the modalities he had worked with up to that moment had a place in this amazing, truly holistic system of Essene Healing, which added new dimensions (quite literally) to his healing work.
Yasha is the founder of the International Colleges of Essene Healing. The first two have opened their doors in Auckland and Sydney. Others are planned for other countries in years to come.
Yasha J. Lavie and the Essenes Yasha Lavie lived in the Qumran Caves and was part of the Essene Brotherhood. As a child he was made to memorize the knowledge that had come to his people directly and to store it in his consciousness. Two thousand years later, in 1997 at the age of 38, after working for many years in different fields of healing, he became aware of this connection. In subsequent years a wealth of knowledge was revealed to him in different ways. Many times he revisited the desert, the caves and his teachers.
His healing work changed. The Essenes looked at the physical body in an interesting way: they saw how the state of our physical body is not only directly related to our state of mind, but also to our abilities and life issues. Therefore they had a truly holistic approach to health and healing. The spiritual component, which had long held a central place in his work, took a different meaning in the light of this new perspective. As the revelations continued, he knew that the time had come to share this process of discovery with others.
During 2000-2002 he turned his centre into a community. The members gathered daily for classes and the Essenes came and taught them about life through Yasha’s channelling. It wasn’t quite like living in an Essene community, but they came as close as one could in a lush central Auckland suburb in the 21st century.
In 2007 he felt that the time had come to establish colleges to make the extraordinary concepts that form the basis of the Essene healing art accessible to the people of the 21st century. The first one opened its doors in Auckland in 2007, the second in Sydney in 2008. Other colleges are planned in London, Amsterdam and Tel Aviv.
Yasha personal account:
“In 1997 I experienced an "earthquake", says Yasha, as I was guided to become aware of the spiritual reality that underlies the physical one. It's impossible to know what my life would have been like if I hadn't gone with my heart and followed the spiritual path. I might be a happier person, I might have discovered other things in life or I might be a frustrated middle-aged man. Who knows? But as I'm writing these words I feel very strongly that I actually didn't have a choice. When you see things clearly, choices seem to be taken away from you. All I wish in life is to be fulfilled by a purpose and the spiritual path of the Essenes offers it to me.”
