We don’t just deserve good health – we have to earn it. I had been hospitalised as a cripple 25 years ago with an ESR of 134. I was unable to weight bear, had lucent metaphyseal bands of most of my large joints, with marked subperiosteal resorption of bone in both feet, and demineralisation of my metatarsal heads. Arthritis - My journey from being crippled to regaining full health using all natural forms of treatment.

My focus in presenting this video, is to empower individuals to regain power over their health and wellbeing by providing information and support to stimulate and encourage this process.
I have, in my immediate past, been severely crippled with arthritis. My fingers started to bend when I was a child and my arm would hurt when I threw a stone. I also used to seem to get hurt a lot on a rugby field.
As a 26 year old, I was hospitalised and unable to walk for arthritic pain. I had also lost control of my bladder. My feet and my knees were blown up like footballs. One hospital put a cage over my feet to keep the weight of my bedding off them they were so sore.
Later under hospital supervision, I wore braces to bed in an attempt to correct the deformation of my feet. Hospital x-rays showed demineralisation of my metatarsal heads and of the flanges of my feet. Doctors from 4 different public hospitals described the condition as:
- marked subperiosteal resorption of bone in both feet
- lucent metaphyseal bands of most of my large joints
- pain in my neck and restricted range of movement in my left shoulder
- knee joint effusions with pain on flexion and extension
- pain in the subtalar joints and acutely tender over the MTP joints
- fusiform swelling of the toes
- unable to weight bear because of painful feet.
The condition was described in writing by hospital physicians as psoriatic, seronegative, aggressive polyarthritis. I was told by those physicians that I should have drug therapy to prevent development of significant deformities. One physician warned me, that if I did not accept the drug treatment that he was recommending to me, then I stood to loose both of my feet. He even showed me x-rays of bones in my feet being eaten away by arthritis, as proof of what he was saying. My hands were so knarled up then that I could not write with a pen.
However, today, here I am…..Fully Mobile….Healthy….and free of pain and free of stiffness, inflammation and disease: This video has demonstrated my journey to good health and overcoming the odds…I BELIEVE THAT YOU CAN DO THIS TOO!
