At a time when global businesses are implementing initiatives to soften the effects of the recession, New Zealand owned retailer Health 2000 are conducting business full steam ahead with major restructuring to position the company for future growth.
The business was formed 15 years ago and has grown from 5 retail shops to a national presence of 71 shops throughout New Zealand. The newest shop was opened last year in Morrinsville and a further two shops are in the pipeline for 2009.
About Us
Health 2000 was founded in 1993, realizing a need to provide the health retail sector – the country’s fastest growing area of retail – with a new level of professionalism and a serious marketing edge.
The group was formed by members who had a passion and belief in natural health at a time when natural supplementation was not particularly well known. In many ways our members were pioneers recognising that they provided customers with natural alternatives that lead to improved healthy lives. Members also recognised the value of belonging to a group of people with similar values and beliefs.
While not a prerequisite to belonging to the group, many of our members are naturopaths, homeopaths, herbal specialists or sports therapists.
A passion for natural health is however a prerequisite. This passion and excitement for natural health often results in superb customer service to the end customer which more often than not results in long term relationships and friendships between many of our members and their customers.
From the outset, Health 2000 has focused on providing support and infrastructure to members with collective resources to provide maximum purchasing power, promotional capacity, advertising and retail potential. Since that time the Health 2000 group has achieved a strong corporate identity and a reputation
second to none in the industry.
