I truly believe that keeping up your exercise and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are key factors in your quality of life. You feel better about yourself, have more energy, function better, look better and have a healthier body on the inside and out.
I love getting out there and keeping fit but I realise not everyone has that motivation – especially at the beginning of your fitness campaign when it can be hard to know what to do and also hard to get off the couch and do it! That’s where I come in… I assess your fitness and strength levels which then gives you a starting base to work from. It’s all up from there....
I like to do cardiovascular work with my clients to encourage them and challenge them. It also keeps things interesting as I like to use lots of variations to get you working and increase that metabolism which is a key factor to losing weight. We do a lot of this in the outdoor environment making the most of our country studio situation. I am not a fan of setting my clients cardio work on handy machines that can easily become boring. A lot of my clients have tried boxing for their first time with me and are absolutely loving the challenge and results from this great upper body cardio workout. Strength work is also an important part of achieving and maintaining a healthy body and this is incorporated in each session, also.
As a mother of three teenage boys, I can understand how hard it is to fit time into your week for exercise but you owe it to yourself and your family to keep active in mind and body. It is a proven fact that people who keep fit are healthier and happier members of our society. The benefits very much out-weigh the effort and time required to make this a regular part of your week and as you get fitter I can guarantee that you will come to enjoy this time as a great outlet.
