Our Fitness programmes are designed to develop synergy between different muscle groups working together preparing them for daily tasks by simulating common movements.
The workouts include upper, lower body and also target the abdominals with its deep core muscles.
The programmes vary in every session. This methodology effectively “surprises” our muscles often from different angles giving a more beneficial and fun workout.
THE PILATES METHOD
The Pilates Method is based on Joseph Pilates’ “Contrology”, which is a type of physical and mental conditioning.
Pilates exercises are safe and effective, which work on improving the tone and alignment of the body by targeting the key postural muscles.
Pilates is suitable for first-time participants through to someone with chronic back pain. Pilates is often used by top athletes, actors and performers to improve and strengthen their bodies.
Pilates develops the body uniformly, corrects wrong posture, restores physical vitality, invigorates the mind and elevates the spirit.
If done with consistency Pilates will produce amazing results.
Dance has a fundamental impact for mobility. This means you will be able to perform functional movement patterns with less or no restrictions.
You will build core strength, balance and coordination.
Our FUNk DNC workshops will make you realise, that you actually can dance.
Fun groovy music with easy to follow moves create an unforgettable dance experience. No previous dance skills required.
HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), FITNESS & STRENGTH WORKOUT
This Fitness programme is specifically designed to build endurance, strength, mobility and flexibility. Some gym equipment is used in this class as well.
Our cool mix of music drives our class and keeps us going with a good amount of fun.

A creative and fun class for adults who don’t necessary have previous dance experience. In this class we combine simple movements into stunning dance. FUNk DNC is also a great way to improve posture awareness, flexibility, discover the feeling for rhythm and having fun at the same time. This style is derived from different forms of dance.
The music includes Drum&Bass, World Music, Hip Hop, Electronic and more. Everyone can dance, no matter what your perception :)
AERIAL PILATES IN THE HAMMOCK
Practising Pilates and Stretching in the Hammock will help bring greater flexibility, amazing core strength and a refreshing tone into your body in a very balanced way. It's a treatment for body and soul. You'll love it!
Note: this class is held in Welcome Bay as a one on one (PT) class or 2 people only. Fees: one on one: $65.00/h. Two people (bring a friend) $100.00 for both together. Booking required.
A workout on the Swiss Ball allows your body to relax whilst concentrating on the desired muscles.
This class strengthens the postural muscles and elongates your body. It’s based on the Pilates Method (Contrology). A very popular, fun class!

STRETCHING & RELAXING
Give your body and mind a break. The perfect class at the end of a busy day. Efficient Stretching is an important part of exercising together with proper breathing techniques. You will feel perfectly balanced at the end of this class. Highly recommended for anyone!
Patrizia, founder of Total Body Solutions and Body Rhythms is a certified Personal Trainer, Fitness- Pilates and Dance teacher with extensive experience in teaching within the Health and Fitness industry.

The classes run over the school term (usually between 8-11 weeks) The fees are calculated over the whole term and already discounted. It's including all public holidays. If you miss some classes they can't be moved to the next term. You've got the option to join any of the other classes we offer within the same term at Tauranga Girls' College and Greenpark School to make a missing class up.
Full fee will only be refunded if a course fails to start. No refunds once the course has started.
