Massage Services Include: Acupressure: Gentle release of tight muscles Aromatherapy: Use of essential and carrier oils to enhance body and mind Deep Tissue : Firm deep strong massage Hawaiian : Long flowing full body sweeping strokes, very relaxing Indian Head : Fully clothed, performed seated, gentle relaxing strokes on neck, shoulders, head and face. Infant : Benefits greater bonding between mother and infant. Less irritability, deeper sleep, eases colic and digestive difficulties Lymphatic Drainage : Fully clothed and very gentle. Light pulsating and pumping massage. Beneficial in detoxifying the lymph system and reducing swelling. Myofascial Release: Application of sustained pressure and movement in tissues and muscles. This results in release and greater movement giving better relaxation of muscles Pregnancy: Light and relaxing producing greater energy and less fatigue. Side lying or sitting position. Reflexology: Massages the reflexes in the feet. Helps to achieve balance in the body and stimulates the bodies natural healing process. Therapeutic & Remedial: Greater contribution to health care be it maintenance, prevention, treatment or relief. Gentle massage for relaxation and stress release. Firmer massage for specific problems such as chronic pain, muscular pain, injury and rehabilitation. Sports: Programme of massage to meet individual athletes pre and post event. This enhances prevention of injury and aids rehabilitation. Swedish: Relaxing gentle massage strokes which include stroking, kneading, friction. Results in a serene feeling and a relaxed body. Trigger point: De-activation of tight bands in soft tissues achieved by flat or pincer compression while the muscle is partially stretched. Uses hot and cold movement therapies. Benefits chronic and aching pain.
