Welcome to Harmonious Health
Whatever it is you are encountering, a sore foot, you are stressed, you find that you can’t sleep, that you are suffering from headaches… I can help you! It is all about getting your body as healthy as it possibly can be. That is the key!
A large part of what I do is the combination of body therapies such as Acupuncture, Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki and Qigong (and others) to assist your body to remove what isn’t required or serving you in a positive way.
Fine, sterile needles are placed in specific points along the body to help stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms. It has been a modality that has been effective for many thousands of years.
Is one of the oldest forms of medicine in the world, thus it clearly works! It can resolve almost any health issue you may be experiencing. The different branches of Chinese Medicine include, Qigong, Tuina Massage, Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Cupping and Moxibustion are also additionally recognised as being components of Chinese Medicine.
I’m rather soft and gentle with my massage, although upon the request of some clients to go “deeper,” when I give deep tissue massage, so I figure I can be pretty strong too, when necessary and required.
Moxibustion is commonly the indirect application of heat via a bunch of smouldering herbs. The herbs that are utilised have particular qualities, which are stimulated (or sped up) by the heat, which then travels into your energetic field, and body, and then into your tissues, warming them up, sending direct signals to the brain and the organs throughout the body to improve their functioning.
Reiki is Japanese for Universal Life Force Energy. That’s a huge topic! So let’s try and keep it concise. In a Reiki session we tap into this life force energy. The stronger the flow and the more life force energy have, the healthier you are.
Cupping is a great tool for musculoskeletal conditions a long with helping with respiratory and digestive concerns.
Meditation and Visualisation
They are individual-specific, to deepen resonance between the body and mind in relation to the focus of that particular person/session. Exploring them slows us down into the present moment, while simultaneously expanding and deepening our sense of self. We become more empowered into being a more-active participant in our own healing journey.
The simplest way of thinking about Qigong is that movements that are conducted in sync with your breathe to enhance your energy. At times the movements are so gentle and subtle it seems like you’re not even moving at all.
“I’ve been exploring and playing with healing for around 15 years or so, and although my main honourific is “Acupuncturist,” I merge together a variety of modalities to help people heal. They’re all energetic-based, they’re all body-engagement based.”
