Blepharospasm

Blepharospasm is an eyelid spasm that causes involuntary and increased blinking. Symptoms include reflex winking and squinting. It might be difficult to keep the eye open and, if suffering, one might be sensitive to light. As the condition deteriorates, contractions become more regular and severe. Treatments include medication, biofeedback, hypnosis, surgery, botox injections, and acupuncture.
