Endometriosis

Endometriosis occurs when the lining of the uterus (or, the endometrial tissue) is found outside the uterus in locations such as the fallopian tubes, the ovaries and the abdominal cavity. If left untreated, endometriosis is a painful condition and can contribute towards infertility.
