Jaundice


Jaundice refers a yellow coloration of the eyes and skin, caused by an excessive amount of bilirubin in the blood. Jaundice may be the result of a blockage of bile ducts, increased production of bilirubin or diseases such as liver diseases, genetic disorders, and inflammation of the bile ducts. Certain drugs may also trigger jaundice. Treatment options may involve medication, surgery to remove obstructions, phototherapy, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy and herbal medicine.
