About Me
I have been working as a massage therapist since 1996 after completing a years study at the Auckland College of Therapeutic Massage. I was able to work with the BOP rep rugby league team for a season at the end of my training where I learnt a lot from working with the teams sports doctor and the players physios. I was also lucky enough to pick up a lot of sports clients, some at international levels, which was an invaluable source of information prompting me to study 2nd year Sports at Unitech so I could keep up with them.
Upon completion of the sports course I went on to manage a hotel spa in Rotorua, a role I enjoyed for four years. Still keeping my foot in the sports field when various teams or athletes visited the area. Then in 2001 after the birth of our son I went on to study the Diploma of Aromatherapy at the NZ college of Massage. As part of my clinicals I did a six week period in a local rest home working with a wide range of clients which was a whole new area of massage and bodywork that I had never experienced before and loved. Then we moved North in 2002. After a six month hiatus I started massaging for various lodges and resorts in the region,then used a room at Doubtless Bay Pharmacy for a few months before setting up a home based clinic. I started to build my client base from here and also studied Beauty Therapy in 2004 as several of the resorts requested these services as well as stydying ear candling via Australia. I continued to work from home until December 2007 when I branched out and opened my clinic in Coopers Beach. Where you can find me now.
