Food poisoning

Food poisoning is a reaction to eating contaminated or poisonous food and should not be confused with food allergies. The symptoms often appear shortly after consuming the contaminated food. The reactions may include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, headache, and fever. Most cases of food poisoning will resolve themselves naturally, for which reason fluid replacement in many cases constitutes the most urgent treatment. Other means to easing the symptoms consist of slowly reintroducing foods, Homeopathy, and herbal therapies. More conventional medication may be applied depending on the cause. Hospitalization may only be needed in severe cases
