  • Browse the local directory for Day Spas

Day spas are places that renew the body, mind and soul. A good day spa should see you leaving feeling refreshed, revitalised and totally pampered.

The Day Spa Treatment Menu

Several different treatments are offered and these include:

  • facials
  • massage – most spas offer several different types of massage such as Hot Stone Therapy, remedial massage, Swedish massage, deep tissue massage and aromatherapy massage
  • body wraps
  • salt “glows” or scrubs and exfoliation
  • waxing or other hair removal such as pulsed light hair removal
  • far infrared saunas
  • photo rejuvenation

Day Spa Services

However, this is by no means a complete list of treatments. Depending on the day spa that you visit and the qualifications of the practitioners other services may be available. These may include:

  • naturopathy
  • nutrition advice
  • acupuncture
  • aromatherapy
  • counselling or life coaching
  • ear candling
  • reflexology
  • yoga
  • hydrotherapy

Treating Skin Conditions and more

Day spas are not all about making you feel good, even though that is one of their primary goals. Visiting day spas can help with skin conditions such as acne, psoriasis and eczema to name a few. They can also treat dull, lifeless or thirsty skin; boost circulation; stimulate cellular activity; revitalise ageing skin; reduce the appearance of lines, and balance skin. Your therapist will engage in a skin consultation with you before prescribing the appropriate treatment. They will also give you the products you need to maintain your skin at home.

Body wraps use natural minerals and ingredients to refresh the skin all over the body and can treat conditions such as cellulite and stretchmarks and can even detoxify the body by drawing toxins out through the skin.

Day Spa Treatments

The duration of the treatment depends on what you are having done but most treatments last for a duration of between 45 minutes to 90 minutes.
