Diabetes

Diabetes occurs when the body is unable to use insulin to properly process the blood’s sugar. Type 1 diabetes arises when the pancreas stops making insulin, while type 2 diabetes strikes when the body is unable to use the insulin it has produced, or simply fails to produce enough insulin. Typical symptoms include some or a mixture of the following: excessive thirst and urination, weight loss, irritability, blurred vision and fatigue. Depending on the case, diabetes can be treated with dietary adjustments, insulin management, medication, weight control, physical therapy, biofeedback, Traditional Chinese Medicine and acupuncture.
