Movement Disorders

Movement disorders are neurological conditions that affect the speed, quality, ease, and fluency of movement. They include illnesses such as ataxia, blepharospasm, dysphonia, dystonic disorders, gait disorders, Huntingdon’s disease, myoclonus, Parkinson’s disease, restless legs syndrome, spasticity, tardive dyskinesia, tics, Tourette’s syndrome, and tremor. Depending on the specific movement disorder, treatments may include medication, surgery, relaxation therapies, botox therapies, acupuncture, homoeopathy, touch therapies, postural alignment therapies, and biofeedback.
