Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disorder of the nerve cells in the part of the brain that is responsible for helping to control muscle movements. Symptoms include tremors, weakness, stiffness, impaired balance and coordination, slow movements, and a stooped posture. Treatments for Parkinson’s disease include medication, surgery, physical therapy, speech therapy, Ayurveda, herbal medicine, yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine, acupuncture, and bodywork.
