Seasonal Affective Disorder


Seasonal affective disorder is a type of depression that occurs each year at the same time, usually during the winter months. Symptoms of seasonal affective disorder include craving carbohydrates, sleepiness, weight gain, irritability, difficulty getting along with others, depression, lethargy, and heavy limbs. Treatment options include light therapy, exercise, medication, cognitive behavioral therapy, counseling, and colour therapy.
