My professional background is in Nursing. Recently achieved a Bachelor in Nursing through UCOL in Masterton. Obtained a Diploma of Counselling through the Bible College of New Zealand in Palmerston North graduating in 2005.
My personal journey is having made choices I regretted which led to my conversion to Christianity almost 20 years ago.
I was, what I describe a "broken" woman; prior to this.
Broken; emotionally, psychologically, physically and spiritually.
Through discovering that God is a God of grace and mercy, I have become transformed.
Personal counselling helped me considerably in that process. I became hungry for truth and hungry for healing.
For myself, the biggest battle was in my thinking... particularly about myself.
I find a lot of people have a lot of problems with their thinking about themselves also beliefs about themselves that are not true.
One model of counselling I like to use, is to teach people how to tell themselves the truth about who they really are.
Healing has come for me because i have discovered who I really am in the eyes of God. However, it was not an overnight event.
At the end of the day, His opinion of me is the only opinion that is going to matter.
