Himalayan Nomad Massage
Treat your body, mind and spirit to a wonderful relaxing and healing experience with Traditional Tibetan Massage. Himalayan Nomad is New Zealand's only Tibetan Massage Centre.
At Himalayan Nomad Massage you can expect a relaxing treatment in a beautiful private setting. You will hear soothing Tibetan music and we will use a variety of thereaputic Tibetan massage oils. We will tailor the treatment we give to meet your needs. We will offer you a cup of tea or juice and have shower facilities should you need them.

Traditional Tibetan Massage
Tibetan massage is a therapeutic combination of deep relaxing massage working on the muscles alongside gentle stimulation of acupressure points. We can also offer Tibetan singing bowl therapy if you request it.
It is particularly good for:

• Toning of internal organs
Tibetan medicine began to develop in the 7th century and incorporates learning from Indian, Chinese, Nepalese, Persian and Greek medical theory.
It is based upon understanding the major organs and systems of the body, as well as knowledge of the three humors (nyepas): wind (loong); fire/bile (tripa); and water/phlegm (bad-kan) that each have their own particular energy pathway in the body.
An intricate relationship between biological and mental activities of the body is also known.

One hour full body massages (including reflexology and subtle cranial treatment): $60
Half hour massages: $40
Gift vouchers are available upon request or through our website. We can post them directly to the recipient if you like.
QUALIFICATION DETAILS
Tsondue Zari has trained in India, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand and holds several certifcates in both Tibetan and Western massage techniques.
- Certificate of Kun Nye Tibetan Massage Level Two, International Academy of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, Melbourne, Australia. Completed May 2010 (60 hours).
Ku Nye Massage is gentle and nurturing relaxation massage using diagnosed humeral oils and finishing with warm stones, combined with a therapeutic or remedial massage involving soft tissue massage, the treatment of channels, some of the 250 points and external therapies.
- Certificate of Traditional Tibetan Medicine Levels One and Two, International Academy of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, Melbourne, Australia. Completed April 2010 (60 hours).
- Certificate of Kun Nye Massage Level One (part one and two), International Academy of Traditional Tibetan Medicine, Melbourne, Australia. Completed October 2009 (60 hours).
- Certificate in Therapeutic Massage, The Wellington School of Massage Therapy. Completed May 2007 (87 hours).
- Certificate in Tibetan Massage and Acupressure, Amdo Hospital, Dharamsala, India. Completed June 2009.
- Certificate in Tibetan Healing Massage, Gompo Tashi Massage Centre, Dharamsala, India. Completed May 2009.
- Certificate in Tibetan Massage and Reflexology, Dream Massage Centre, Dharamsala, India. Completed April 2009.
