The Falls Prevention Programme
PhysioACTION can assist older persons with a 12 month individual programme of muscle strengthening and balance re-training, particularly if you have had a fall or have a high risk of falling. A Physiotherapist can visit your home and design a programme with you. To check eligibility for entry to the Programme, or for further information, please contact us on 09 444 6529.
Activity Based Programmes
If you have an accepted ACC claim for an injury and have ongoing problems with pain, an Activity Based Programme may be helpful for you. This is an individually designed exercise programme that will assist to restore your independence in home and work activities. Your ACC Case Manager will need to approve entry to the programme and if this occurs, then the programme will be fully funded by ACC. For further information please contact us on 09 444 6529.
Work Hardening Programmes
This is a specific exercise and cardiovascular programme to help you physically prepare for work following an ACC covered injury. Your ACC Case Manager will need to approve entry to the programme and if this occurs, then the programme will be fully funded by ACC. For further information please contact us on 09 444 6529.
