Our Story
Aroha Love® was born in 2010 as an offering of the Mind Body Institute.
Established in 2008 the Mind Body Institute offered New Zealanders a unique and diverse combination of healing techniques to infuse a greater understanding of the emotional, physical and spiritual self, facilitated by founder and principle therapist Rosanna Marks.
Utilising a variety of traditional eastern, western and Pacific inspired techniques to heal (physical, emotional, spiritual), improve personal relationships, and restore health and happiness the Mind Body Institute was founded on the premise of bringing back a world nourished by the truth that our existence is sacred and our survival is dependent on the education and embracing of who we truly are as spiritual beings.
Just as the therapists of the Mind Body Institute were committed to their giving of deep healing, de-stressing and energising, dynamic bodywork, our Aroha Love team have been handpicked for their unique abilities and commitment to work only from the heart with the intention of love, regardless of the therapy in use.

AROHA SIGNATURE MASSAGE
Our Aroha Signature Massage encompasses traditional Maori healing arts, Hawaiian Ka Huna Massage, Reiki Energy Healing, Chakra Balancing and energy flow. Aroha bodywork is a beautiful massage experience that will leave you feeling grounded, nurtured and nourished from the inside out. The Aroha Signature Massage is a unique fusion that allows the recipient to get completely out of the head space and into their body, weaving the physical, emotional and spiritual being into unison and harmony.
AROHA HAWAIIAN KA HUNA MASSAGE
Rosanna is a Ka Huna massage specialist and is in constant movement around the massage table, following specific patterns of foot placement and body posture. Her arms sweep over the body in long, flowing movements to the pulse of music, creating a very fluid and rhythmical massage.
The results of Aroha Ka Huna Massage are direct and very powerful, requiring little time for integration. Recipients feel immediate changes in the needed areas, be they physical, emotional, spiritual or mental.
AROHA HOT STONE MASSAGE
Aroha Hot Stone Massage is designed to melt away some of the body’s holding patterns; tight tense muscles or muscular strain and on an energetic level this massage offers grounding.

AROHA ARVIGO ABDOMINAL MASSAGE
The Arvigo Techniques of Maya Abdominal Therapy® are inspired by the ancient Central American healing traditions of the Maya. Developed by Dr. Rosita Arvigo, this modality grew out of her apprenticeship with acclaimed Maya Shaman - Don Elijio Panti.
The techniques include abdominal and sacral massage, castor oil applications, pelvic steaming, herbal preparations, and intention. A strong emphasis is placed on optimal reproductive anatomy and the uterus is repositioned via gentle external manipulation.
The Arvigo Technique of Maya Abdominal Therapy® is a non-invasive external massage technique which creates homeostasis-balance within and hemodynamic-good blood circulation in the body. The Arvigo Technique® improves the circulatory, lymphatic, nervous systems and the flow of energy throughout the body. This technique allows the uterus and digestive organs to return to their proper position, releasing physical and emotional congestion, improving health greatly.
AROHA CHAKRA BALANCING MASSAGE

AROHA REIKI ENERGY HEALING

Rosanna and Benton are both Reiki master teachers and have over 10 years of experience with Reiki. Reiki is a huge part of their lives and is infused within everything they do. Their hot healing hands are a must to be experienced.
AROHA REIKI HANDS-ON MASSAGE
Reiki massage is a powerful blend of Reiki energy fused with Aroha oils allowing you to discover or re-discover a healing sensuality that you may have never experienced before.

Aroha Candles are created by our in-house, internationally trained fragrance expert and are lovingly hand poured at our Grey Lynn premises in Auckland, New Zealand.

AROHA HOLISTIC REIKI FACIAL
Rosanna is a Reiki master teacher with over 10 year's Reiki experience. Aroha's beautiful Reiki Facial infused with crystal healing will take you to another world as well as bringing awareness, enlightenment and deep peace.
Aroha Reiki Facials incorporate the healing energy of Reiki to promote healthy, balanced and rejuvenated skin and crystal healing. Reiki is a spiritual healing art form. It is subtle yet powerful. AROHA FOOT RITUAL
The Aroha Foot Ritual is simply the most amazing healing treatment incorporating ancient Mayan healing with lustral water infused with blessing, plants, flowers and salts. Rosanna may use incense, white sage and Aroha Candles to support the cleansing and releasing process of the lustral foot bathing.
AROHA COCONUT BACK SCRUB
An organic coconut back scrub has to be the most wonderful way to begin your massage session with us. A divine way to gently yet effectively dissolve the dead skin that is almost impossible to reach on your own back leaving one feeling lighter and deeply cleansed.
AROHA CHAKRA COUNSELLING
Focusing on the 7 major chakras, Rosanna will share what she felt during your hands on session, within your energy centres. She will educate you on the 7 major chakras; where they are, their colour, shape, meaning and how this information may help you find some deep questions and answers pertaining to your current life. The appropriate self-care will be recommended.
AROHA FOCUSED ORACLE CARD READINGS
Oracle cards conclude many an Aroha bodywork, Reiki and facial therapy session, and can confirm what the practitioner relays to the client in regards to what was 'felt' or 'sensed' during the session. A question is asked, and answered from an interesting and somewhat refreshing perspective!
YOGA & DANCE
We have a beautiful, intimate space at Aroha, Grey Lynn for our Yoga, Yoga Nidra and healing Bellydance classes.
Our Yoga classes are taught by passionate and dedicated teachers who are very individual in their approach with each participant learning exactly what they need.
Rosanna teaches her healing Bellydance class every Tuesday at 6pm at Aroha and holds short 5-6 week courses each term at the Auckland women’s centre in Grey Lynn on Friday evenings.
Aroha Dance classes are designed to connect women to their bodies in a fun, healing and holistic way.
AROHA DANCE
Aroha Dance is a beautiful combination of Aroha (Love), bellydance, tantra philosophy, mudra and sisterhood. Join us to awaken your feminine energy, for grounding and connection to your body, seeing your body as a sacred and beautiful space.
Rosanna teaches women how to awaken their femininity and sensuality in a caring, safe and fun way. Learn about your chakra system, how to activate these energy centres through dance, breathwork, mudra and simple, earthy Egyptian bellydance routines that are so much fun.
AROHA YOGA
Our intention for Yoga classes at Aroha, is to provide an inspiring, relaxing and beautiful space for your journey with your teacher of wellness for the body, mind and spirit.
Aroha Yoga and Yoga Nidra classes are small, friendly and intimate allowing your instructor to provide individual attention that is easily maintained, achieving optimal results for all levels; absolute beginners onward.
