About Me
Gary has a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling , with a core basis in Narrative, Brief Solution Focused and Collaborative Therapy, as well as having undertaken studies in Psychosynthesis Psychotherapy, Person Centred Counseling and Problem Solving Therapy.
Gary originally comes from a teaching background, having taught predominantly in schools in West Auckland. He has also taught in the Bay of Plenty and the Waikato areas, including time as a Principal of a small rural school.
Gary’s introduction to counselling began as a volunteer counsellor with Lifeline, then taking on a paid position and also working as a counsellor with Mensline. He has spent the last two and a half years working with the National Depression Initiative.
Since the beginning of 2008, Gary has been working as a School Guidance Counsellor within colleges in west and South Auckland.
Costs
Individual Face to Face sessions: $80 per 55 minute session
Two or more clients per session: $100 per 55 minute session
Mobile counselling at your place of work or home: as above plus travel expenses (please enquire for details)
Please ensure fees are paid either prior to or at time of appointment.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please give at least one working day’s notice otherwise a cancellation fee of $40 will be charged.
