Reflexology What is Reflexology? It is a complementary and non-invasive therapy which uses the fingers and thumbs to massage the reflexes of the feet. These reflexes correspond to the glands, organs and parts of the body. It is by stimulating these reflexes that can bring assist in range of conditions, including - sports injuries, back pain, infertility, migraine, asthma, eczema, constipation, hormone imbalance, sinusitis, depression, anxiety, arthritis, sleep disorders and a variety of tension and stress-related problems to name just a few. However, many people use reflexology simply as a way of countering stress and tension, to improve circulation of nerve and blood supply and for calming and relaxing the mind and body. It is also a great treatment for athletes in terms of pre & post sports therapy and injuries. For example, reflexology can expel lactic acid four times faster than your conventional massage. History Reflexology has a history dating thousands of years with clear inscriptions on the tomb walls of the early Egyptians some 3000 years BC. In the western world, it was pioneered, researched and developed in the 1930's by Eunice Ingham and is the leading method of Reflexology throughout the world today. What Can I Expect? On your first visit you will be asked to fill out a health consultation sheet, to help assess your needs while soaking your feet in a foot bath containing pure essential oils specific to you. You will then be asked to sit back and relax within the ambience of candles, scented oils and soothing music. Your feet will be examined for corns, callouses and ingrown toenails. The treatment will begin with some relaxation techniques. A systematic approach is then taken to work the reflexes on the feet. You may feel a sensitive or tender area which generally signals a blockage, congestion or a buildup of tiny deposits. Working these areas will stimulate the breakdown of the congestion, release any tension and blockages and help the body to expel these toxins, ulitmately encouraging the body to self heal. The treatment ends with a foot massage using the "Feet Treat" product from the Simone Davey Aromatherapy Treatment range. For each person, the treament and effect of the therapy is unique. The full treatment will last approximately 1 hour . Back to top...
Indian Head Massage What is an Indian Head Massage? Indian Head Massage is an ancient massage technique based on the Indian Ayurvedic healing system. The massage is invigorating, revitalizing and an uplifting treatment working on the upper back, arms, neck, shoulders, scalp and face. These areas are massaged with a firm and gentle rhythmic fashion involving Marma points (acupressure points). How Can This Benefit Me? This particular form of massage can be used to relieve eyestrain, insomnia, migraines, stiff necks and shoulders and headaches. It also relaxes and tones the facial muscles and stimulates and nourishes the hair and scalp. Ultimately Indian head massage aims to release the stress that has accumulated in the tissues, muscles and joints of the head, face, arms, upper back, neck and shoulders. Back to top...

Kiriana "After treatments I feel more relaxed, positive and happy with life. My shoulders are very relaxed and I have no pain at all. Regarding my migraine I now have days during my period without migraine and I do not have to take as much medicine as I normally do. I also sleep very well at night and before I started the treatments I often woke up at night all sweaty!" Jennifer Back to top...
