We want you to be the best version of YOU!
We are all unique, so when it comes to successfully maintaining one's health, we often need guidance to develop a personal philosophy that fits our goals and motivations.
Sleep, fatigue and stress are three of the leading factors that intertwine with health issues in New Zealand.
Our approach is to identify if, or how, these components influence you, and your health. We then tailor our recommendations so that it is unique to each individuals' healing journey.
Philosophy of Recovery
Balancing of your ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) - to support the body so it can differentiate between fight/flight and rest/repair.
Improving the Quality of Sleep - good sleep is the key to how we feel, how we cope, and good health.
Supporting health at a cellular level — this is the environment the cells live in, and how they interact.
This environment can affect cell development, function, and longevity. Removing the toxins can be key to improving ones' health and well-being.
Commitment to Clients
Managing one's health isn’t only in the hands of a Healthcare Practitioner — it’s helping someone realise it is also in theirs. Our primary goal is to educate and empower people to become an active partner in their own healing. Along with, providing self-care techniques and support, so someone can feel informed and in control of their health journey.
FLOWpresso™ works wonders in many ways for all types of people. Providing a unique therapy that encourages the body to release toxins and promotes the body's self healing mechanisms. The non-invasive therapy uses a combination of compression, far infrared heat and deep pressure simultaneously to encourage the body’s inner systems to activate.
Here is how the FLOWpresso works:
Delivering a cyclic compression to different areas of the body. Each chamber inflates sequentially, before its predecessor completely deflates. Compression allows the body to change the way it moves, encouraging the body to release toxins.
Far-infrared heat to each of the four sections of the garment to encourage a relaxing, sleep promoting effect along with encouraging an improved state of health. The far infrared heat embraces the body with a gentle, healing warmth which allows the body to rest, and relax, in such a way that helps restore balance.
Deep pressure therapy is applied to the body - similar too a hug - through each individual chamber, serving a profoundly relaxing effect, allowing the body to calm and release the daily stress of life.
With no two humans the same, there is an inability to describe exactly how FLOWpresso can help you.
However, feedback from current FLOWpresso clients and health professionals, indicate that
FLOWpresso has the ability to:
- Promote relaxation;
- Improve energy;
- Support stress management;
- Improve recovery in health and sport;
- Improve endurance in sport;
- Promote sleep management;
- Promote weight loss;
- Improve general mobility;
- Encourage regulation and balance to enhance the natural healing state of the body.
The FLOW experience.
The FLOWpresso experience is like no other, an explanation on what to expect has been included to enlighten those that are interested. You are fully clothed at all times, and will be assisted by a trained technician who puts you into the suit. Whilst lying horizontally, your feet, legs, abdomen and arms are enclosed by the suit. You’re given an eye mask to enhance the relaxing experience, which lasts for forty minutes. We have found that this timeframe gives your body, and the suit the best opportunity to work it’s magic on you. The three types of therapy are activated during your time in the suit, working to give you the benefits it has access to.
The FLOWpresso experience is slightly different for every individual. Whilst some say it helps them feel light and refreshed, others say it leaves them de-stressed, rested and more in-tune with their body.
The side effects of FLOWpresso are very similar to a massage or lymphatic therapy e.g increased urination, bowel motion and a headache. We do suggest you drink 1 glass of water prior to the session in order to get the optimal from this therapy. It is also important with post therapy to reduce chances of detoxification symptoms.
FLOWpresso is contraindicated for:
- Heart disease, especially if increased blood flow is detrimental, e.g. congestive heart failure or high blood pressure
- Acute infection of the affected limb e.g. cellulitis
- Acute/Chronic Bronchitis
- Deep Vein Thrombosis, DVT
- Electronic medical implants
Consultation with Dr Ally
Dr Ally believes that self healing is something we all have within us, every cell has the wisdom to heal, sometimes we just need a little help to reignite it. Dr Ally has educated herself on the skills needed to help people physically, chemically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually gain charge of that self healing once again.
Dr Ally has an appetite for knowledge and research regarding Cellular Biology (Epigenetics), along with how we, as individuals, store trauma in our bodies. Stored trauma can elicit cell danger responses, disrupt immune, hormone and lymphatic regulation. With the help of the FLOWpresso, and other skills noted below, she helps to encourage the body and mind to release trauma and return to homeostasis.
Dr Ally helps individuals with chronic conditions, autoimmune disorders, pain, PSTD, anxiety, depression and hormonal issues using a combination of FLOWpresso and other healing practices which can consist of:
- Applied Kinesiology,

The Nerve Express is an assessment tool that is utilised to accurately, and quantitatively, assess the present status of the autonomic nervous system, as well as the regulatory capacity of the client. The Nerve Express System, is a computerised system with a heart rate monitor (Polar type). It is a noninvasive procedure which measures the heart rate throughout the examination, evaluating Heart Rate Variability. Based on these findings, aquantitative assessment of the Autonomic Nervous System can be formed.
The Autonomic Nervous System is the part of the nervous system and it controls functions such as respiration, blood circulation, temperature control and digestion, There is two parts of the ANS:
- Sympathetic Autonomic Nervous System (SNS) this is responsible for triggering our reaction system to a stressful situation, controlling our “fight and / or flight” reaction, increasing our blood pressure, heart rate and blood flow in the muscles.
- Parasympathetic Autonomic Nervous System (PSNS) : Is the system that heals, digest, rests and conserves our energy.
The Sympathetic and Parasympathetic Autonomic Nervous System must be balanced to improve health and performance.
As the Autonomic Nervous System is responsible, among other things, for the control and determination of the heart rate. Therefore, by quantifying it through HRV, we can assess the organism's ability to perform its usual functions. From the quantitative findings of the HRV we can assess the following:
- Degree of Physical Fitness (Physical Fitness) at the time of the examination;
- The level of stress on the body and its ability to adapt;
- Psychological Tendency and Emotional Status.
- Deep breathing and if it has a positive effect on your parasympathetic system.
The great advantage of this method is the ability to detect early signs of functional changes associated to stress. In addition to being a non-invasive procedure, the test is completed in approximately 10 minutes.
The Nerve Express System acts as a faithful parameter of fitness, health and stress levels.
Wellness has a significant impact on the productivity of most businesses. By showing your employees you care about their health and wellbeing, an understanding environment is created. This can encourage employees to be more engaged, and promote a positive workplace culture that boosts performance. A 2015 Southern Cross Healthcare Group survey looked into the living habits of New Zealanders, which revealed that almost a quarter of us feel tired or fatigued every day, with this rising to 36% among people under 30. The survey also showed that 80% of New Zealanders would rather have full night's sleep than a big night out.
FLOWpresso offers a solution, by improving sleep and reducing fatigue. The effects of FLOWpresso can also support a person's mental health by reducing the feeling of stress, creating a sense of calm, and promoting a relaxed state.
The Aetiology Clinic also offer different services to support your Wellness initiative for your Staff. These services can be catered to best suit your initiative.
