About Us
My name is Sandra Walsh. I am the sole proprietor of Heathcote Valley Herbal Medicine.
I have a diploma in Clinical Herbal Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry. Having graduated from the Canterbury College of Natural Medicine, I am now practicing from home.
We are located in the semi-rural setting of Heathcote Valley in Christchurch. There is room to park in our drive down the lane. Once you have arrived at the door, you are welcomed in and offered a cup of herbal tea.
Your initial consultation can take from 1-1 ½ hours. The time is spent chatting about your health concerns, your health history, and any family health trends. Your blood pressure is taken and your blood glucose level is measured. Some lab tests could also be prescribed. From all of the information you provide, a treatment plan is devised and tailored to your needs. This can take a few days to compile.
Once you have your treatment plan in hand, you are not left to your own devices! A follow up appointment is made for two weeks later. At that time, any questions or concerns are discussed and, if required, adjustments are made. You can always contact me by phone or
e-mail if something comes up before your follow up appointment.
Who can come and see me? Anyone who has a health concern or wants to maintain their current health. All ages are welcome.
