SERVICES

Welcome to Grey Street Physio We provide a friendly, relaxed, caring environment and will do all we can to get you back to sport, work, relaxing (without pain) or whatever it is that you love doing. We believe in fixing the cause of the problem, not just the site of the injury. While we like to have a hands on approach, we also believe in empowering the patient to treating the injury as much as possible themselves.
Our Services Physiotherapy can come in many shapes and sizes; Grey Street Physio is a musculo-skeletal clinic. This means we treat sprains, strains, back pain, neck pain, headaches, sports injuries, overuse conditions, bumps and bruises, post operative and many other things. For neck and back pain we primarily use the McKenzie Method, which uses posture and movements to enable the patient to treat themselves. This method has been made famous by the ‘Treat your own back’ and ‘Treat your own neck’ books. This is a very effective and safe form of treatment. Other forms of treatment we incorporate include mobilizations, mobilizations with movement, massage, taping/strapping, kinesiotape (you may have seen this colourful tape on the athletes at the Olympic Gamess), exercise prescription, movement correction, gait re-education, education and orthotic (shoe insert) prescription.
About Dan Bevins (BHSc, MNZP, MNZMPA, MDT Cred Ther) - Physiotherapist, Clinic Manager Dan trained at AUT in Auckland, graduating in 2004 (with the added distinction as a finalist for the ML Roberts research prize).
