SERVICES

I have 25 years of experience working in this field, and have the same passion and enthusiasm in the present day as when I first started. It is a wonderful and rewarding journey as people begin to experience increased health and wellness . This experience can be life changing on every level of your existence. I invite you to begin your journey with me. My Philosophy The body always moves in the direction of healing/repair. All healing begins from the inside out. The mind, body and emotions are inseparable, and equally they are the tripod on which our health stands. What is Natural Medicine? Our magnificent, intricate and inherently honest bodies are entirely responsive to the environment we live in, the food we put in to them, and the beliefs we hold to. The body is self-regulating and intelligent, on a cellular, organ and system level. Healing, like digestion and elimination, does not require conscious effort, the innate intelligence of our body takes care of these processes, but in order for the body to heal it must have good nutrition, and appropriate rest and exercise. In order to understand how our body is doing, we observe ourselves – we are given indicators, clues if you like, in the form of signs and symptoms that draw our attention. For example, bad skin is not part of your biological inheritance, it’s a sign that there is an overload of toxins being expelled, via the blood, and the blood needs help. My role is to help you identify and understand your signs and symptoms, and to provide you with the means to become stronger, healthier, and happier. I use the following modalities in my practice: Nutritional Counselling Is a fundamental part of our first session. Food is fuel and raw material for repair and growth, hormone production, and essentially all aspects of maintenance for the body. We have a strong emotional attachment to food, and the chemistry of the brain is a part of our relationship with specific foods e.g. sugar, caffeine. Herbal Medicine . The first medicines were plants, as are most of our foods, our well-being, through a nourishing diet, begins with plants. This relationship is the core of the affinity our cells have for the chemistry of plants, and this is why they are excellent medicines, as well as food. My clients receive a personalised herbal formula, individualised to their specific health needs, and bio-type, age, and level of wellness. Cranio-Sacral Therapy and Bowen. These are two gentle and effective bodywork modalities that release restriction through the soft tissue. This enables the muscles to relax and the body to move to optimal levels of relaxation/tension that can be called ‘tensegrity’. Tensional integrity in each body is centred around the nature of the body, its work history, and the toll this has taken on it. We can call this wear and tear. The body always responds to our demands, including emotional stress, and gradually, over time correct alignment, and appropriate muscle/bone tensions change. We develop aches and pains, lose flexibility, muscles cannot support the skeleton appropriately, organs become pressured, and health is compromised.
