What Is FoodSavvy? Founded in 2006, we are an experienced team of New Zealand Registered Dietitians dedicated to assisting you achieve your personal health goals. We are leading dietitians in the dietary management of digestive disorders including irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. There are many other conditions we can also assist with. Services Individual Consultations We offer individual one-on-one consultations in a private relaxed environment. Your personal Dietitian will provide you with an eating plan individualised to meet your needs and help you feel your best. You will be shown simple practical tips and tools to help you lead a healthy lifestyle and become FoodSavvy.

Sarah Elliott Sarah is one of New Zealand's leading dietitians in the dietary management of digestive issues such as irritable bowel syndrome and inflammatory bowel disease. Diagnosed with Crohn's disease 18 years ago, she knows how important food choices are to feeling your best. She absolutely loves helping people gain control of their symptoms and feel confident about their food choices. Having previously worked as the Immunology Dietitian at Wellington Regional Hospital, she is also skilled in management of food allergies and intolerances. She can also help if you are suffering from disordered eating. Having worked at the Peter Beaumont Eating Disorder Day Program in Sydney, Australia, she has a wealth of experience and practical tools. Sarah studied her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Nutrition at the University of Otago, and gained distinction in her subsequent Post Graduate Diploma in Dietetics. Having two young children, Sarah understands how dietary changes need to be practical and realistic - but also taste great!

Angela Phillips Angela was a leader in her field from a very young age and is now recognised in the specialist areas of food intolerance, weight management and paediatrics. Her high level of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills and empathetic personality ensures that clients will benefit from detailed consultation resulting in an individualised nutritional plan towards well being. Angela has previously worked at Kenepuru Hospital and at Wellington Hospital. Here she worked with inpatients, outpatients and the community, visiting clients in their homes. She was the team leader for the dietitians at CCDHB prior to having her two children. She is the dietitian for the Capital Obesity Group at Wakefield Hospital and teaches group fitness classes as a hobby. Angela is also qualified to prescribe special foods and supplements.

Becky Jones Becky qualified as a Dietitian in the UK where she gained fantastic clinical experience working with a broad range of health conditions. She has held several specialist roles within a hospital setting from which she has gained diverse skills and knowledge to optimise your health through nutrition. Becky is skilled in the dietary management of blood pressure, cholesterol lowering, diabetes, digestive disorders, as well as weight management. She also has extensive nutrition knowledge and experience with cystic fibrosis and kidney disease. Becky has a special interest in sports nutrition and is studying towards the prestigious International Olympic Committee Diploma in Sports Nutrition. She can offer individualised nutrition and hydration advice for training, competition and recovery for individual, team and multi-sporting events. Becky herself has participated in a wide range of sports and events from competitive level hockey, half marathons to triathlon, so has first hand experience of the value of good nutrition for performance. In addition to sports nutrition advice, Becky can offer you accurate anthropometric measurements including skinfold assessment for those interested in body fat percentage and body type for sport.
