SERVICES

Welcome to Unity Yoga At Unity Yoga in Queenstown New Zealand we teach Classic Hatha Yoga. Teachers at Unity Yoga are familiar with one another’s techniques and our classes are complementary. It is important to us that people get their needs met and we offer a full range of classes from Beginner/Gentle and Core Development to Flow-based advanced classes. We have as many as 7 classes a day (during full-season only) and are open 7 days a week so schedules of all types can be accommodated. Our Yoga studio, centrally located on the 2nd floor at 61 Beach Street in Queenstown’s business district has magnificent views of the lake and mountains. While location and decor is not paramount in a Yoga practice it is a bonus. We feel our studio is ideally situated to provide both a relaxed and inspired atmosphere and is part of the extras we provide, which set Unity Yoga apart. Come join us for a Yoga class in an inspiring location with teachers who are passionate about Yoga and all life has to offer. We will set you on your way feeling better, more energized, balanced and alive.
Our Studio Our Yoga Studio is located in central Queenstown at 61 Beach Street, top floor across from Earnslaw Park and offers spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. The interior is open and spacious and implies the sense of movement and a feel of grounding through use of minimal decor and a focus on the the view. All the furnishings in the studio were brought from Borneo giving the studio a somewhat exotic atmosphere. We are a Yoga studio and not a gym and we keep the area clean and neat.
We do not use mirrors preferring that students get used to FEELING their bodies alignment through turning their focus inward rather then relying on visual aids. Classes vary in length from lunchtime Yoga of one-hour to Flow-based Yoga classes of two- hours on weekends.
Students tend to arrive on time and we encourage this. However if you are a little late we encourage you to come on in. We only request that you glance in first to ascertain that you will not enter in the middle of the opening ohm. All Yoga classes are presented in the teachers own personal style which ranges widely from one teacher to the next but we work on developing similar language in order to keep a consistency of directions. While Yoga is our passion we are not aggressive in our approach and tend toward a light and open-hearted approach to the practice and the teaching hoping people will find their own inspiration from within. After class we serve tea and biscuits and enjoy one another's company and stories and curiosity about life. Hope to see you soon!
